Use this guide to ensure your device and browser meet the requirements for accessing the Cognism Legacy Platform and Chrome Extension.
Before You Begin
Ensure that:
- You have an active Cognism account.
- Your account has been activated.
- You have a stable internet connection.
- Your browser is up to date.
Supported Browsers
The Cognism Legacy Platform is supported on the latest versions of the following desktop browsers:
- Google Chrome (Recommended)
- Microsoft Edge
Mozilla Firefox
Note: For the best experience and full compatibility with all features, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome.
Browser Requirements
To use Cognism successfully, your browser should have:
- Cookies enabled.
- Pop-up blockers configured to allow Cognism where required.
- Browser extensions that block scripts or cookies disabled for the Cognism website if they interfere with functionality.
Chrome Extension Requirements
To use the Cognism Chrome Extension, ensure that:
- You are using the latest version of Google Chrome.
- The Cognism Chrome Extension is installed.
- You are signed in with your Cognism account.
- Third-party cookies are not blocked if your browser settings prevent authentication.

Network Requirements
Your organisation's network or firewall should allow access to Cognism services. If you experience connectivity or login issues, contact your IT administrator to ensure Cognism domains are not being blocked.
Unsupported Browsers
The Cognism Legacy Platform is not supported on:

- Outdated browser versions that no longer receive security updates
Using unsupported browsers may result in degraded performance or features that do not function as expected.
Troubleshooting
If Cognism does not load or behaves unexpectedly:
- Refresh the page.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies.

- Disable browser extensions that may interfere with Cognism.
- Try opening Cognism in an Incognito or Private browsing window.
- If the issue persists, contact your IT administrator or Cognism Support.
