Connect Cognism with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to export Leads, Contacts, and Accounts directly into your CRM.
The Cognism Microsoft Dynamics integration allows users to export prospects from the Cognism Sales Intelligence Platform into Microsoft Dynamics 365. The integration can create new records, update existing records, and automatically populate Dynamics fields using configurable field mappings.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a customer relationship management (CRM) platform that helps organisations manage sales, customer relationships, marketing, and service operations. With the Cognism integration, sales teams can export prospect data directly into Dynamics without manual data entry.
What you can do with the integration
After connecting Microsoft Dynamics, you can:
- Export contacts individually or in bulk.
- Export records as Leads or Contacts.
- Create or update Accounts.
- Configure custom field mappings.
- Choose how duplicate records are handled.
- Configure update rules.
- Export directly from the Cognism Web Application.
How matching works
Before creating a new record, Cognism checks Microsoft Dynamics for an existing match.
Leads and Contacts
Records are matched using the following order:
- Cognism ID (if mapped)
- Email address
- First Name + Last Name + Company Name + Company City
- First Name + Last Name + Normalized Company Name + Company City
- First Name + Last Name + Company Name
- First Name + Last Name + Normalized Company Name
Accounts
Accounts are matched using:
- Cognism ID (if mapped)
- LinkedIn URL (if mapped)
- Company domain
- Company Name + City
- Normalized Company Name + City
- Company Name
- Normalized Company Name
If a matching record is found, Cognism updates the existing record according to your configured update rules.
Supported field types
Cognism supports mapping the following Microsoft Dynamics field types:
- Boolean
- DateTime
- Double
- Integer
- String
- Picklist
- Supported Virtual fields
Some Virtual fields may not be available, depending on your Microsoft Dynamics configuration.
Unsupported field types, such as multi-select picklists, lookup fields, or unsupported custom field types, will not appear in the Cognism field mapping options.
Where the integration can be used
Once configured, the Microsoft Dynamics integration is available from the Cognism Web Application.
All integration settings, including field mappings and export behaviour, are managed centrally within the Cognism Web Application.
