Before users can export data from Cognism to Pipedrive, the integration must be configured by a Cognism Administrator and users must have the appropriate permissions in both Cognism and Pipedrive.
Requirements
Before configuring the integration, ensure that:
- You have an active Pipedrive account.
- You have a Cognism account with access to Integrations.
- A Cognism Administrator has enabled the Pipedrive integration.
- You can sign in to Pipedrive using your own credentials.
- You have permission to create and update People and Organisations in Pipedrive.
Cognism permissions
Only Cognism Administrators can:
- Enable the Pipedrive integration.
- Authenticate the organisation's Pipedrive connection.
- Configure field mappings.
- Configure update rules.
- Configure activity mappings.
Once the integration has been configured, authorised users can sign in to their own Pipedrive account and begin exporting records from the Cognism Web Application.
Pipedrive permissions
The connected Pipedrive user should have permission to:
- Create People.
- Update existing People.
- Create Organisations.
- Update existing Organisations.
- Install and authorise the Cognism Pipedrive application.
- Create activities (for Engage users who sync campaign activities).
If these permissions are missing, users may be unable to authenticate the integration or export records successfully.
Before configuring field mappings
Before users begin exporting records, we recommend that administrators review:
- Person field mappings.
- Organisation field mappings.
- Activity mappings (for Engage users).
- Update rules for existing People.
- Update rules for existing Organisations.
These settings determine how Cognism creates and updates records in Pipedrive.
Next steps
After confirming the required permissions:

- Configure Pipedrive Field Mappings
- Export People and Organisations to Pipedrive
