A contact record may not include every available data point, such as a mobile phone number, work email address, or direct dial.
This article explains why some information may be missing from a contact record.
Not All Contact Details Are Available
The information available for each contact depends on the data that has been sourced and successfully verified.
As a result, one contact may include:
- A verified mobile phone number.
- A work email address.
- A direct dial number.
While another contact may only include basic information such as their name, job title, company, and LinkedIn profile.
Verification Requirements
Cognism only displays contact details that meet its quality and verification standards.
If a mobile number or email address cannot be confidently verified, it may not be displayed.
Regional Availability
The availability of contact information varies by country and region.
This is influenced by factors such as:
- Local data availability.
- Privacy legislation.
- Regulatory requirements.
- Publicly available business information.
Because of this, records from some countries may contain less information than others.
Information Changes Over Time
Business contact information changes regularly.
People change employers, receive new phone numbers, or update their email addresses.
As Cognism refreshes its database, information may be added, updated, or removed to maintain data quality.
What Can I Do?
If the contact does not contain the information you need:
- Check whether other contacts at the same company are available.
- Search for colleagues with similar job functions or seniority.
- Review the company record for additional contacts.
- Check back later, as contact information may be updated over time.
