Once the Zapier integration has been configured and your Zap has been published, you can export contacts from Cognism Lists to the destination application configured in Zapier.
Unlike native CRM integrations, Zapier exports are only supported from the Cognism Web Application using Lists.
Before you begin
Before exporting contacts, ensure that:
- The Zapier integration has been configured.
- Your Zap has been published and is turned on.
- Your Cognism account is connected to Zapier.
- The contacts you want to export have been added to a Cognism List.
Export contacts from a List
- Open the Lists page in the Cognism Web Application.
- Open the List containing the contacts you want to export.
- Select one or more redeemed contacts.
- Click Export.
- Select Zapier.
Cognism sends the selected contacts to Zapier, where your configured workflow processes the data automatically.
What happens after export?
When contacts are exported:
- Cognism sends the contact data to Zapier.
- Zapier triggers the Contact Export event.
- Your configured Zap runs.
- The contacts are sent to the destination application configured in your workflow.
The exact behaviour depends on the action you've configured in Zapier.
Verify the export
After exporting contacts:
- Open your Zapier account.
- Review the Zap History to confirm the workflow completed successfully.
- Check the destination application to verify the contacts were created or updated as expected.
If the export does not appear immediately, remember that processing time depends on your Zapier subscription and sync interval.
Export limitations
Keep the following limitations in mind:
- Zapier exports are supported only from Cognism Lists.
- Contacts must be redeemed before they can be exported.
- The Zapier integration does not support exports from the Cognism Chrome Extension.
- Workflow execution speed depends on your Zapier subscription.
