Before users can export data from Cognism to Zapier, the integration must be configured by a Cognism Administrator and users must have access to both Cognism and Zapier.
Requirements
Before configuring the integration, ensure that:
- You have an active Zapier account.
- You have a Cognism account with access to Integrations.
- A Cognism Administrator has enabled the Zapier integration.
- You have permission to create Zaps in Zapier.
- You have access to the destination application you want to connect.
Cognism permissions
Only Cognism Administrators can:
- Enable the Zapier integration for the organisation.
- Generate a Cognism API key for use with Zapier.
Once the integration has been enabled, users with access to Cognism Lists can export contacts to Zapier.
Zapier permissions
The connected Zapier user must have permission to:
- Create and manage Zaps.
- Connect third-party applications.
- Authorise the destination application used by the Zap.
Depending on the application you're connecting, additional permissions may be required within that application.
Zapier subscription
A Zapier account is required to use this integration.
Some Zapier functionality is only available on paid plans, including:
- Higher task limits
- Multi-step Zaps
- Premium app integrations
- Faster sync intervals
The features available depend on your Zapier subscription.
Supported exports
The Zapier integration supports exports from:
- Cognism Web Application
- Cognism Lists
The integration does not support exports from the Cognism Chrome Extension.
To export records through Zapier, contacts must first be added to a Cognism List.
Before creating your Zap
Before building your workflow, we recommend that you:
- Create the Cognism List you want to export from.
- Decide which application will receive the exported contacts.
- Ensure you have access to both Cognism and the destination application.
- Generate your Cognism API key when prompted during the Zap setup.
