Field mappings determine which Cognism data is transferred into Bullhorn when Leads, Contacts, Candidates, and Companies are exported. You can customise these mappings to match your Bullhorn data model and control how records are created or updated.

Field mappings are configured centrally in the Cognism Web Application and apply to all users in your organisation.

Before you begin

Before configuring field mappings:

You must be a Cognism Administrator.
The Bullhorn integration must already be connected.
You must be signed in to Bullhorn.
Your Bullhorn environment must include the Leads and Opportunities paid add-on.

Open the field mapping settings

Click your profile avatar.
Select Settings.
Open Integrations.
Locate Bullhorn.
Click the Settings (cog) icon next to Log Out.

From here, you can configure the field mappings used when exporting records from Cognism to Bullhorn.

Lead, Contact and Candidate Field Mappings

Configure how Cognism person data is mapped to Bullhorn Lead, Contact, and Candidate fields.

Depending on your Bullhorn configuration, you can map fields such as:

Email
Company Name
Job Title
Phone Numbers

Industry
Custom Bullhorn fields

Only supported Bullhorn field types are available for mapping.

Configure how Cognism company data is exported into Bullhorn Companies.

Supported field types

The Bullhorn integration supports mapping the following field types:

String
Integer
BigDecimal
Double
Boolean
Timestamp

These field types can be used for both exports and CRM enrichment.

Unsupported field types

The following Bullhorn field types cannot be mapped:

Reference fields
Association fields
Unsupported custom or complex field types

If a field type is unsupported, it will not appear in the Cognism field mapping list.

Best practice

Before making the integration available to all users:

Review all Lead, Contact, Candidate, and Company mappings.
Confirm that mapped Cognism fields correspond to the correct Bullhorn fields.
Verify that only supported Bullhorn field types are used.
Test the configuration by exporting a small number of records.
Confirm the exported data appears correctly before performing large exports.
