Learn how to connect your HubSpot account to Cognism so your users can export contacts and companies directly from the Cognism Web App and Chrome Extension.
The HubSpot integration must be enabled by a Cognism Admin before it can be used by other users in your organisation.
Before You Begin
Ensure that:
- You are a Cognism Admin.
- You have a HubSpot account.
- You have access to install or authorise third-party applications in HubSpot.
- You have the required HubSpot permissions. For more information, see HubSpot Integration Requirements & Permissions.
Enable the HubSpot Integration
- In the Cognism Web App, click your User Avatar.
- Select Settings.
- Open Integrations.
- Locate HubSpot.
- Click Add.
The HubSpot integration is now available for your organisation.
Connect Your HubSpot Account
After enabling the integration:
- Click Log In next to the HubSpot integration.
- You will be redirected to the HubSpot sign-in page.
- Sign in to HubSpot if prompted.
- Select the HubSpot account you want to connect.
- Review the requested permissions.
- Click Connect App.
After authentication, you will be returned to Cognism and a confirmation message will indicate that the connection was successful.
Configure Field Mappings
Before users begin exporting data, configure your field mappings to determine how Cognism data is written into HubSpot.

Allow Users to Connect
Once the integration has been enabled and field mappings have been configured, other users in your organisation can connect their own HubSpot accounts.
To connect:
- Click User Avatar > Settings.
- Open Integrations.
- Select HubSpot.
- Click Log In.
- Sign in to HubSpot and authorise the connection.
Once connected, users can export contacts and companies from both the Cognism Web App and the Cognism Chrome Extension.
If the Connection Fails
If HubSpot does not allow the connection to complete, the account used to authorise the integration may require temporary Super Admin permissions.
This is a HubSpot permission requirement rather than a Cognism limitation. Once the integration has been successfully authorised, Super Admin permissions can usually be removed without affecting the integration.
