Move or copy contacts between lists to better organise your prospecting workflows without repeating searches.
Moving contacts removes them from the current list, while copying keeps the contacts in the original list and adds them to another list.
Before You Begin
Ensure that:
- You are logged in to the Cognism Legacy Platform.
- The destination list already exists, or you have permission to create a new list.
Move Contacts to Another List
To move contacts:
- Open the Lists tab.
- Select the list containing the contacts.
- Select one or more contacts.
- Click Move to List.
- Choose Move.
- Select an existing list or create a new one.
- Click Continue.
The selected contacts are removed from the current list and added to the destination list.
Copy Contacts to Another List
To copy contacts:
- Open the Lists tab.
- Select the contacts you want to copy.
- Click Move to List.
- Choose Copy.
- Select an existing list or create a new one.
- Click Continue.
The contacts remain in the current list and are also added to the destination list.
Create a New List During the Move or Copy Process
You don't need to create a list beforehand.
When prompted to choose a destination:
- Enter a new list name.
- Select the new list from the dropdown.
- Continue.
The new list is created automatically and the selected contacts are added.
What Happens to Redeemed Contacts?
Moving or copying contacts does not change their redemption status.
- Redeemed contacts remain redeemed.
- Unredeemed contacts remain unredeemed.
If an unredeemed contact requires Bulk Credits, it will continue to require Bulk Credits in the destination list.
What Happens to Contact Updates?
Moving or copying contacts does not remove:
- Previous refresh history.
- Contact updates.
- Company changes.
- Job title changes.
The contact keeps its existing status in the new list.
